PlotLab 3D Plotter - Polar + Parametric
CARTESIAN

How to use PlotLab 3D

1

Choose Mode

Cartesian: z=f(x,y) height map.
Polar 3D: Curve r(θ) → 3D rose/helix. Surface r(θ,φ) → deformed sphere via x=r·sinφ·cosθ, y=r·sinφ·sinθ, z=r·cosφ.
Parametric: x(u,v), y(u,v), z(u,v) — torus, Möbius, sphere, etc.

2

Enter equations

Use theta, phi, u, v, x, y, sin, cos, tan, sqrt, exp, log, abs, pow, ^ for power, PI. Chips give instant samples.

Cartesian: x^2 + y^2
Polar curve: r= sin(5*theta) → rose
Polar surface: r= 1+0.3*sin(5*theta)
Parametric torus: x=(2+0.6*cos(v))*cos(u)

AI Helper

Type plain English like "flower sphere" or "torus with twist" — AI generates equations for the active mode. Falls back offline if API fails.

4

Ranges & Resolution

θ 0→2π, φ 0→π for polar surfaces. U,V 0→2π for torus. Increase resolution for smoother but slower.

5

Interact

Drag rotate, scroll zoom, right-drag pan. Reset View, change colorscale, opacity, wireframe, download PNG.
